The Thames Skills Academy, working with the Marine Police Unit, the Metropolitan Police and the RNLI, hosted training for hospitality businesses on the Thames in Welfare and Vulnerability (WAVE) on 25th June.
Training was delivered by the Safer Business Network focused on raising awareness of vulnerability, the responsibilities of those working in licensed premises and how to deal with it as well as the Ask for Angela scheme. The Suzy Lamplugh Trust gave lots of tips on how each of us can stand up against street harassment.
Everyone attending the training gained a certificate of competence in Ask for Angela which is eligible for 5 points on the Thames CPD programme.
The Thames Skills Academy and Marine Police Unit would like to thank Woods’ Silver Fleet for supporting the event.
